How to adjust supplement dosages during a viral infectionUpdated a month ago

When you have a viral infection, it may be beneficial to temporarily increase your intake of certain micronutrients that support the immune system and help the body fight off infection. During a mild viral infection, you can slightly increase some supplements to support immunity for a short period of time:

Zinc: we recommend increasing to 2 capsules per day, as it supports normal immune system function. Only take this higher dosage for a short period of time - 1 week.

Vitamin D3+K2: higher doses can be taken for a short period of time, e.g., 6 drops per day. However, during acute illness, the effect on the immune response is not immediate. It is more important to maintain optimal vitamin D3 levels over the long term so that the immune system can function properly. You can easily check your vitamin D3 levels with our home Vitamin D level test.

Organic Acerola: - 3-4 capsules per day, spread throughout the day, can be taken to supplement vitamin C.

When you are ill, the most important thing is to get enough sleep, fluids, and a balanced diet. Supplements can support immunity, but they are not a substitute for basic care of the body during illness.
