Can taking Iron cause side effects such as constipation?Updated 10 months ago

As a source of iron in Iron we use a gentle form of ferrous bisglycinate in a chelate bond, which ensures excellent absorption and tolerability in the gastrointestinal tract.

This form minimizes side effects such as constipation, nausea or stomach discomfort that can occur with other forms of iron, especially the widely recommended ferrous sulfate.

Pregnant women can therefore take this product without fear of possible nausea. However, we recommend the Pregnancy Essentials multivitamin complex containing iron and other important minerals and vitamins suitable for supporting the health of the mother and the developing foetus.
