Can I take Krill Oil if I am allergic to seafood?Updated 22 days ago
If you are allergic to seafood, we do not recommend taking Krill Oil.
Krill is a type of crustacean, and for individuals allergic to crustaceans (such as shrimp, crab, or lobster), krill oil may also trigger an allergic reaction.
Safe alternative:
A suitable replacement is Algae Oil – a supplement made from the microalgae Schizochytrium sp.
It is a plant-based source of omega-3s that contains no fish or crustacean ingredients, making it safe for individuals with seafood allergies.
