We recommend not to exceed the recommended daily amount. The optimal recommended dose of omega 3 for pregnant or brestfeeding women is 250-500 mg.


Supplementation of omega 3 fatty acids during pregnancy brings with it a number of health benefits for both mother and fetus, including affecting the health of the early years of the baby. There is evidence that babies of mothers who have taken omega 3 fatty acids are at less risk of developing allergies and also asthma. The essential fatty acids EPA and DHA support healthy fetal nervous system development as well as visual development. 

We also recommend eliminating these supplements 3-4 weeks before a planned delivery due to the fact that they thin the blood and can increase bleeding!
