What is the ideal ratio of vitamin D3 and K2 supplementation?Updated 4 months ago
As an ideal ratio of vitamin D3 to K2, it recommends that for every 1000 IU of vitamin D3, you also take at least 25 μg of vitamin K2.
Why this ratio?
• Vitamin D3 increases calcium absorption from the intestines.
• Vitamin K2 (in the form of MK-7) helps direct calcium to the bones and prevents its deposition in the blood vessels.
• Balanced supplementation minimizes the risk of soft tissue calcification, which can occur when taking long-term high doses of vitamin D3 without adequate vitamin K2 supplementation.
