What is the difference between Fertility Essentials and Pregnancy Essentials?Updated 6 days ago

While Fertility Essentials is designed for the period before conception, Pregnancy Essentials builds on its function and supports the body during pregnancy.

Both products contain carefully selected vitamins and minerals that meet the specific needs of the body during this period – however, they differ in composition, reflecting the changing demands of a woman's body.

Fertility Essentialspreconception Support

  • Fertility Essentials is designed to support natural fertility, prepare the body for conception, and create the right conditions for the healthy development of the baby from the very earliest stages of pregnancy.
  • For example, it contains the active form of folate (vitamin B9), which plays an important role in the proper development of the fetal nervous system.
  • Conversely, it does not contain iron, as most women do not have an increased need for it before becoming pregnant. Iron supplementation without a specific medical indication (e.g., low ferritin levels or a confirmed iron deficiency) is therefore not always appropriate.

Pregnancy Essentialssupport During Pregnancy

  • Once pregnancy begins, the body’s needs change significantly. Pregnancy Essentials therefore contains iron, which is often important during pregnancy to support blood formation and meet the body’s increased needs.
  • Compared to Fertility Essentials, it also contains higher amounts of iodine and choline, which contribute to the proper development of the baby’s brain and nervous system.
