What is the appropriate dosage of omega 3 for children according to age?Updated 6 days ago
As part of the KIDS line, which is designed not only for children but also for mothers, products are available containing either Omega-3 alone or Omega-3 combined with D3+K2. The dosage for these products is more flexible and can be better tailored to individual needs.
Recommended daily dosage of Omega 3:
In terms of nutritional composition, we based the product’s development on scientific recommendations from the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA).
EFSA lists the reference daily intakes for children as young as 12 months of age as follows:
- 250 mg of Omega-3 (DHA/EPA) to support brain and vision development
- 400 IU of vitamin D3 for proper bone and immune system development
Both products in the KIDS line contain 250 mg of Omega-3 in 0.5 ml (14 drops).
Although the formulation meets nutritional recommendations even for younger children, as a manufacturer we must comply with the applicable labeling requirement of “ages 3 and up.”
