How much vitamin D3 should I take?Updated 2 months ago
The correct dosage of vitamin D should ideally be based on the results of a blood test. Vitamin D is fat-soluble and the body can store it, so it is not advisable to take it “blindly” in high doses.
If your vitamin D level is in the optimal range, maintenance doses (1000 IU) are sufficient. On the other hand, if a deficiency is detected (which is quite common), it may be necessary to start with a higher dose to return the blood level to optimal values.
For children, we recommend following the age-appropriate dosage on the packaging.
