Unfortunately, many studies evaluating the effects of omega 3 and concluding that omega 3 supplementation may be harmful often lack specification of the form used (e.g. triglycerides vs. ethyl esters) as well as information on the purity and stability of the supplement. However, it is the form and quality of omega 3 that play a major role in their bioavailability, efficacy and safety.
