Can Acerola product cause acid reflux?Updated 8 days ago

Organic Acerola is a pure, freeze-dried powder made from acerola cherries with no added additives. Our Acerola is closer to a food than a supplement.

The concentration in a single capsule is intended for preventive use and does not involve excessive doses that would be contraindicated, for example, in cases of acid reflux. After consuming acerola, which is an acidic food, you may experience some irritation. However, this depends on individual tolerance.

There are other foods—primarily tomatoes, pineapple, and citrus fruits (or citrus juices such as orange or grapefruit juice, etc.)—that, due to their acidic nature, can irritate the lining of the esophagus and worsen reflux. However, these foods do not cause reflux per se, but rather act as irritants.
