Can Acerola product cause acid reflux?Updated 10 months ago

Our acerola is pure freeze-dried powder from the acerola cherry with no added additives. Therefore is Acerola product closer to a food than a supplement.

The concentration in one capsule is preventive and it is not an excessive dose that would be contraindicated in reflux, for example.

After consuming Acerola, as an acidic food, you may feel irritated. However, it depends on individual tolerance.

There are other foods, especially tomatoes, pineapple and citrus fruits (or citrus juices such as orange, grapefruit, etc.) that can irritate the lining of the esophagus and aggravate reflux due to their acidic nature. However, these foods do not cause reflux per se, but rather irritate it.
